The majority of the electricity in the world is produced from coal. Two
major pulverizing technologies have proved the efficiency of BMW Steels Ltd.
grades for wear parts:
- Rolls/plate or Bull/ring vertical mills
- Grinding horizontal mills

Our high chromium alloys and our manufacturing specifications have become
the standard for our clients: big electricity producers as well as
multinational engineering companies.
The high Chromium Steel grinding Bulls, rolls, bull ring segments, cement
plant lines, paper machinery refiner plates and other castings have
excellent toughness coupled with high hardness. This reduces the wear and
tear and therefore ensures a service-life of more than double that of
conventional grinding Bulls, presently used in Power Stations in India.

The BMW Steels Ltd. modifies existing Old Ball Tube Milling
System. Our modified system consists of High Chrome Ball Mill Liner,
Crusher-Dryers, Classifiers Controls that regulates fuel feed rate and
primary and secondary air flows.
The modified ball tube mill is designed to achieve higher grinding
capacities of coal. The modified ball mills rugged design
eliminates the need for a spare mill, minimizes power consumption, and
significantly lessens risk of mill fires.
In order to minimize power consumption, BMW Steels Ltd. crusher-dryers are
installed at the inlets of the mill. Hot primary air is introduced to the
coarse, wet coal upstream of the crusher-dryer. As the coal is reduced in
the crusher-dryer, the hot primary air evaporates essentially
all of the surface moisture. The volume of hot primary air adjusts
automatically to the moisture content in the fuel.
We provide all the maintenance
spares for the tube mill
including Liners, Balls, Chutes/Hoppers ,Pipes & Bends.
No Spare Mill is Needed -
Spare Mill existing with the older design can be utilized to
create additional grinding capacities as after modification spare mill is
not required unlike older design types of mills, the grinding elements
(balls) can be replaced while the mill is in service. Each mill has two
Feeders and two Crusher-Dryers, oversized so that if one is out of service,
the mill can carry the full load
Lower Maintenance Costs -
As Mill liners are manufactured from High Chrome Steel having
hardness in excess of 450 BHN they may only require replacement every 2 to 5
years as against manganese steel liners for one year.
Higher Availability - Each
mill end has a feeder and a crusher-dryers sized such that one set may be
taken out of service without losing load.
Versatility - Suitable for
a wide range of coals and variable moisture conditions.
BMW Steels Ltd. has been manufacturing wear resistant bends for a long
time. Elbow / Bend is produced to suit the customer's individual
requirements.
There are two parameters:-
- Material of the Elbows.
- The required dimensions for elbow production i.e. diameter, wall
thickness, radius and angle.

BMW Steels Ltd's Ni-Hard & Chrome Steel Bend and complex geometrical
shapes can be casted to suit the mother equipment as per the customers'
drawings & requirement. They are the ideal solution to many problems in
Power Plants, Coal Mines, Mineral Processing industries and refineries,
chemical plants.
Highly abrasive and corrosive powder / fluids pose serious problems to Ash
/ Coal Pipe, Bend and Slurry Pumps internals. BMW Steels Ltd.'s castings are
used to protect against abrasion,erosion and corrosion.
We offer an extensive inventory of bends with a variety of wall thickness
available in:
" through 4"- 10" Pipe and Tube Sizes
Inventories include a wide range of parts:
Short, Standard and Long Radius (Up through 72" CLR)
Nominal standard tangents are 2 times diameter with a 6" minimum for
easy connection.
Wall Thickness: ranging from 12 mm to 30 mm.

Auger
It is used in road making and mineral processing industries including
cement and power plant and can be supplied as-cast or treated to
find a solution to most abrasive situations where high impact resistance is
not needed. Typical applications include liners, wear plates, impellers,
bushings, sleeves, brake blocks, crushing and grinding elements. The
complimentary range of AR alloy irons provides Wear parts with
the ability to address any wear problem, even at elevated temperatures.
