Knife
Gate Valve is essential for controlling, stopping or diverting the flow of
abrasive slurries. BMW Steels Ltd. has a complete product line to meet your
needs, including diversion, shut-off and discharge valves in a variety of
designs. Many valves are available with hydraulic actuators, useful in
remote or difficult installations. Diversion and shutoff valves are
available with ratings of 1500 PSI and 4000 PSI working pressure. Most
valves are produced in 2" through 6" inside diameters, and are
available with your choice of ends
Size range 50 mm(2") to 1000 mm(39").

BMW Steel's Slurry Knife Gate Valve is a valve engineered for operator
dependability, low maintenance, and abrasion resistance in mining
operations, power plants, pulp mills, wastewater treatment, sludge, and
abrasive slurry or solids handling applications.
The manually actuated valve was designed for On/Off service. A stainless
steel gate passes through two heavy, duty cartridge reinforced rubber slurry
sleeves, which provide a compression interference fit for a drop tight seal.
In the open position, the BMW Steel's full port design eliminates flow
obstructions, keeping abrasive wear to a minimum.
Manually actuated Valves 3". - 12". are provided with standard
hand wheel mechanisms featuring cast hand wheels, machined 303 stainless
steel stems with yoke sleeves, and thrust washers designed to eliminate
thrust and torque. Manual valves larger than 12". are typically
specified with 4:1 bevel gear actuators.
