Conventionaly Ash Ore & Mineral discharge pipe were being used made up
of mild steel or cast iron. These pipe posses low wear resistance capacity
as such are prone to wear causing frequent replacements. These replacements
are very costly due to idealing of pipeline for replacement and cost of
replacement.
Alumina ceramic lined pipe have reported high wear resistance rates. Actual
performance at various industries like coal, power projects, cement mills
and wear testing performed on the alumina ceramic pipeline has shown linear
wear rates of less than half mm per year. This wear rate is up to 40 times
less than the conventional pipe of mild steel & cast iron.
Replacement of complete mill body is a very costly and time taking affire.
Replacement of complete mill body means loss of production and valuable
money.
